The home of Boise’s best music venue and concert house! Located in BoDo (Boise Downtown), Knitting Factory showcases all genres of music, performing arts, and comedy. Opened in 1987 in Manhattan, Knitting Factory has grown to Boise, Brooklyn, Reno, and Spokane. Originally as a home for experimental music, music that didn’t typically fall into rock or jazz categories, Knitting Factory now promotes more mainstream tours throughout the US. The Knitting Factory Concert House’s 1,000-capacity concert venue features top performers from around the world as well as dance parties and sporting events. The venue is also available for private functions, receptions, and corporate parties.

Located on the campus of Boise State University, the 2,037-seat Velma V. Morrison Center for the Performing Arts is Idaho’s premier performing arts center. Nestled on the banks of the Boise River, the Center’s 10-story stage house is a recognizable fixture of the Capitol’s picturesque skyline. The realization of a life-long dream of Harry W. Morrison, and championed by his widow, Velma, the Center opened in1984. Today the Center is recognized as a major destination for arts, culture and world-class entertainment. As a Boise State affiliate, the Center is a non-profit organization supported by ticket sales, facility rentals, donations and the generous support of the Morrison Center Endowment Foundation, Inc.

Located in Boise’s Old Penitentiary Historic District, the Idaho Botanical Garden is dedicated to enhancing our community’s quality of life through fostering a love of nature and developing intellectual curiosity in people of all ages. Originally the site of the tree nursery and grounds of the State Penitentiary, the Garden is a living museum.
