Performing Arts | Boise Contemporary Theater | Amanda “Ammo” Morgan
We’ve attended some pretty cool shows at BCT. We went to one that was just a reading (no “acting” other than just voicing the characters) and it was really good! They even perform some plays that they’ve written themselves. It’s a tiny theater, so the experience is really cool because you’re in the middle of it all.Visit Boise Contemporary Theater
Performing Arts | Morrison Center | Virginia Treat
I may be a bit biased, but the Morrison Center is one of a kind in my eyes. One can’t help but be amazed by the diversity of events that come into the Center. Where else can you see a National touring Broadway Musical and then a week later catch a wonderful work of art from our local arts group or perhaps a concert or comedy show?Visit Velma V. Live Music | Taco Bell Arena | Virginia Treat
The Treasure Valley has quite a large list of live music venues and I have to say that I enjoy the majority of them. If I had to pick a favorite live music venue based on the variety of shows that are offered as well as space provided for the show itself, I would choose Taco Bell Arena. Taco Bell Arena even works well with other venues in town to host shows that other venues have brought in that might be too large to host in their own facility. Their relationship with other businesses in the Treasure Valley also makes them unique.Visit Taco Bell Arena
Performing Arts | Boise Chamber Music Series
Be sure to check out the Boise Chamber Music Series. You’ll hear some of the best internationally renowned classical music of today. In the warmer months, the Shakespeare festival is always sure to please and I love that you can bring a picnic with you!Visit Boise Chamber Music Series
Live Entertainment | Morrison Center | Jennifer Puente
Reflecting back on all the live entertainment I’ve enjoyed over the past years, favorite comedy acts, family friendly shows with my daughter, and not to mention classic Broadway shows, they have all been at the Morrison Center! My best memory was watching Ballet Idaho’s The Nutcracker at the Morrison Center.
They host entertainment for all walks of life and all interests! I would highly recommend staying on top off their line up of shows!Visit Ballet Idaho & Ballet Idaho Academy Visit Velma V. Morrison Center For The Performing Arts

Attending a performance at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival is one of the greatest pleasures one can have on a perfect summer evening in Boise. Pack and bring your own food and drinks and enjoy the gorgeous backdrop of the Boise foothills as you watch and listen to world-class talent in a nature-filled outdoor amphitheater.
