As the summer heat intensifies and the calendar turns to July, the city of Boise and its surrounding areas prepare to celebrate Independence Day in grand style. From traditional Fourth of July parades and fireworks displays to music festivals and food truck rallies, there’s something for everyone in and around the Boise, Idaho and Southern Idaho areas.

Boise Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration
Ann Morrison Park, Boise, Idaho
Festivities in Ann Morrison Park begin at 6pm, and the fireworks are scheduled to start at 10:15pm
The City of Boise’s Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration returns to Ann Morrison Park — and for 2026 it’s part of the nationwide America 250 celebration marking the country’s 250th birthday. The park is closed to vehicles all day, but you’re welcome to walk or bike in. Festivities kick off at 6pm with a free Boise Philharmonic patriotic performance, food and drink vendors on site, and beer and wine for those 21 and older. Cool off in the interactive fountain, catch a drone show after dark, and watch the fireworks finale launch around 10:15pm. Please leave drones, pets, and personal fireworks/sparklers at home. After the show, Americana Blvd. closes for about 45 minutes so pedestrians can exit safely.

The parade returns to Downtown Boise, and in 2026 it takes on extra meaning as the Idaho America250 4th of July Parade, marking 250 years of American independence.

Meridian Independence Day Celebration
Storey Park – Meridian, Idaho

The Meridian Independence Day Celebration is a grand event held in Storey Park. The park will be open to families for picnics and fireworks viewing. Food trucks will be on-site from 4:00pm, offering snacks and local cuisine. The city of Meridian has partnered with Meridian Speedway to bring this celebration to the people of Meridian.
The fireworks display will be set off from the back (east side) of the Speedway at dusk, approximately 10:20pm. Please note that no personal fireworks or glass containers are allowed in the park, and the Bark Park will close half an hour before dark to secure the necessary fireworks safety zone.
Caldwell 4th of July Celebration

Caldwell goes all out with a full day of festivities across downtown and two parks:

The City of Nampa caps off Independence Day with its annual fireworks display near the Ford Idaho Center — Nampa’s official Fourth of July show. Grab a spot around the Idaho Center campus and enjoy the free show lighting up the night.
Lakeside Liberty Fest in McCall, Idaho
July 4–6, 2026 – Activities start at 10am each day
Lakeside Liberty Fest is McCall’s three-day Fourth of July celebration. The fun kicks off July 4 with a parade through downtown, followed by vendors and shops in Legacy Park, live music, and food open from 10am until dusk each day. Stick around July 5 for a free movie (Rocky) by the lake. Each evening wraps with a fireworks display over Payette Lake. Mountain weather can change quickly, so come prepared for anything.
4th of July Music Festival at Brundage
Brundage Mountain – McCall, Idaho
10:00 AM–6:00 PM
The 4th of July Music Festival at Brundage is a free event with live music in the base-area alpine amphitheater and on the plaza at Smoky’s Deck. Start your morning with the Cat Track 5K/10K race ($30/$45), then settle in on the grass for an all-day lineup of three festive live bands. Food and drinks available at Smoky’s Deck. (2026 band lineup to be announced.)
4th of July Celebration in Kuna
Bernie Fisher Park, Kuna

Celebrate Independence Day in Kuna with a food truck rally, music, and fireworks at Bernie Fisher Park. The day starts with a Freedom Fun Run along the Kuna Greenbelt, leading into the main celebration at 6pm with 15+ food trucks, a DJ all night, and a big fireworks show around 10:15–10:30pm launched near the 2nd Street baseball fields (anywhere on the Greenbelt has a great view). Free to attend, no tickets required. Bring lawn chairs or blankets — and leave glass, open flames, and personal fireworks at home.
Marsing 3rd of July Fireworks Celebration
Marsing’s Island Park – Marsing, Idaho
5pm – Midnight
The Marsing 3rd of July Fireworks Celebration kicks off the holiday weekend while also marking Idaho’s statehood (July 3, 1890). Head to Marsing’s Island Park for a Marsing Lions BBQ dinner, a dunk tank, bounce house, kids’ train, games, music, and entertainment — then watch the fireworks light up the Snake River around 10pm. A great chance to make lasting memories with friends and family.
Garden Valley Fourth of July Celebration
Weilmunster Park, Garden Valley, Idaho
The event starts with a flag-raising ceremony at 8am
The Garden Valley Fourth of July Celebration is a small-town event packed full of family fun throughout the entire day. The day kicks off with an annual flag-raising ceremony at Weilmunster Park. Start the day with breakfast and the Garden Valley EMS golf tournament, silent auction, and BBQ at Terrace Lakes Resort beginning at 9am, then head to Weilmunster Park for kids’ games, food trucks, vendors, a chalk art contest, and soap box derby races.

Melba “Olde Tyme” 4th of July
Melba, Idaho
Saturday, July 4, 2026 | Parade begins at 10:30am
Melba’s “Olde Tyme” 4th of July is a traditional, entirely volunteer-run celebration. The 2026 theme is “Spirit of 1776: Celebrating 250 Years of Freedom.” The day begins with a Fun Run, followed by the parade at 10:30am, then a full day of craft and food vendors, a chicken run, a kids’ fairway of games, a tractor pull, and a car show — all culminating in a fireworks display at dusk. Free to the community thanks to donations and sponsors.
