Downtown Boise is welcoming Coned to their second location in Idaho! This restaurant puts a unique twist on a classic go-to food – pizza in a cone. Coned offers 10 different selections plus a build-your-own option. They also have dessert cones to satisfy your sweet tooth (read: cream cheese-filled!). It’s every pizza lover’s dream!
This Is Boise recently got the chance to interview the owners, Tyler and Marina. The two love traveling and the idea for Coned was inspired by a trip to Italy. They adapted an idea of pizza in a cone to become their own and brought it to Idaho for all of us to enjoy.
The restaurant’s journey began with a food cart at the Idaho Botanical Gardens, but they quickly realized the weather wasn’t always the greatest. They often had to serve their cones in various feet of snow. These conditions inspired them to move to another avenue of serving Boiseans. They began serving from a food truck that catered to a variety of events from fairs to birthday parties. Their success as a food truck allowed them to continue growing – in 2018 they opened their first brick and mortar in Meridian.
The story gets even better – Tyler explained that he and Marina always had the goal of moving to downtown Boise. Recently, they got that opportunity at a great location on 10th and Main!
We’re so excited to see this local business grow and add another delicious dining option to downtown Boise. Check out their soft opening at 103 N 10th St on February 19th to try it out for yourself. Keep your eyes out for the grand opening as well as giveaways in the near future! Check out Coned’s Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date on all the details.
