Alive After 5, the summer tradition in downtown Boise is back for its 36th year, promising a season of music, community, and fun in the sun. This annual summer concert series, held at The Grove Plaza, is a a vibrant summer event offering a platform for both local and national musicians to showcase their talent.
The concert series, which kicks off on June 21, is a free event on select Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. throughout the summer months of June, July, and August. Alive After 5 is more than just a concert series; it’s a celebration of summer and a community engagement.
It supports emerging talent by featuring local bands as opening acts and national and international touring bands as well.

In Partnership with Duck Club
The Downtown Boise Association has partnered with local music promotion company, Duck Club, for the second year to bring new and exciting bands to perform at Alive After 5. Duck Club, co-founded by Eric Gilbert, is not only known for its role in Alive After 5 but also as the founders of the popular Treefort Music Festival and owners of the new Treefort Music Hall. This partnership, which began last season, has been instrumental in rejuvenating the concert series and presenting it to a whole new generation of music lovers.
In an article from KTVB, Gilbert shared his excitement about the partnership and the upcoming concert series. “Growing up in Boise, Alive After 5 was one of my first introductions to live music and downtown culture,” said Gilbert. “Duck Club is excited to continue the partnership with the DBA to present a rejuvenated Alive After 5 for a whole new generation of music lovers of all ages and the Downtown Boise community.”
