November First Thursday is upon us! First Thursday is a monthly event hosted through the Downtown Boise Association. Local shops, restaurants, museums, and event centers offer special exhibitions, shows, discounts, and events. Art at The Alaska Center

The Alaska Center is showing artwork from Chi E. Shenam Westin’s collection that features landscapes in the West. There will also be complimentary portraits for families, couples, and individuals.

 

New Beers at Barbarian Brewing

PC: Barbarian Brewing

Barbarian Brewing is releasing three new beers: “Odins Wrath”, “Jotunheim”, and “For the Rest of Us”! There will be live music from Travelin’ Miles & Honey Bear from 7-9pm.

 

Christmas Ornament Making at Boise Art Glass

Join Boise Art Glass for a night of live glassblowing! The gallery will be open to the public, with classes available to create your own Christmas ornaments. Classes are priced at just $45, and allow you to create up to two ornaments in a half-hour session.

In celebration of Maven’s 1-year anniversary, there is going to be a pop-up art show! Eight participating local artists, a raffle, and walk-in barbering from Mullet Proof is going to make for a fun birthday party.
