A new boutique opens its doors today in downtown Boise. SALT by Pepper offers contemporary women’s fashion and is the newest resident of the Owhyee Building. The store features world-class designers, and yet-to-be-seen-in-Boise pieces at your fingertips. You can expect to see fashion designers like Iro, Jaga, Raquel Allegra, Nili Lotan, RE/DONE and more.
When you first walk in, a hand-made live edge table flanks a central metal sculpture. Simple hangers and racks filled with designer options line the room. It’s simple, clean, and stylish. The atmosphere provides a feeling of being comfortable in the rawness and vulnerability required to boldly step into your fashion decisions. SALT is a friendly place where you can stop in for the afternoon, try on clothes, and spend time with Pepper building your fashion profile.
SALT offers an elevated experience to curate your style. It’s a simple concept – your clothes should reflect who you are. The pieces you’ll find at SALT are romantic, edgy, and unique to Boise. Once a customer, you can expect to come back and find pieces that are specific to your style. SALT is an extension of Pepper’s passion for growing a community – you’ll not only find world-class pieces, but a group of women that are passionate about styling.
After 14 years of traveling the world, working at sea, and being involved in the fashion industry, Pepper and her husband decided to settle in Boise and open SALT. Together, they built the table furnishings for the store. The months-long renovation process has involved adding a new streetside door facing Main Street and gutting the previous space. The store now features floor to ceiling dressing room mirrors and lighting.
The store is located at 1109 West Main Street, Suite 110 on the ground floor of the Owyhee Plaza Building. You can view the store tonight at the Grand Opening event from 6-8 pm as part of First Thursday. There will be refreshments, live music, door prizes, and discount drawings at checkout!
