Ready to celebrate Halloween? Boise has events for everyone! Here’s the inside spook:
Friday
7pm Frightened Felons at Old Idaho Penitentiary (All Ages)
Dare to enter Terror in Cell Block 4, the only haunted cell house in Boise (expanded even more this year with more frights per cell!). With special performances of the Zombie “Thriller” Dance, ghost story presentations, costume contests with cash prizes, actors portraying inmates of the past, Old Pen mugshots and photo ops, photos with our historic hearse and undertaker, music, games, scavenger hunt, food trucks, coffee, and hot cocoa!
Saturday
4pm Thrill the World Boise at Jack’s Urban Meeting Place
Thrill the World is an annual worldwide simultaneous dance of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” In addition to sharing the joy of dance, the celebration of community and the passion for living, we created Thrill the World so that each event could be used to raise money for a local charity. Giving continues past just the steps of the dance, past the hands of Thrill The World to you, the participants.
8pm Fright Night Silent Disco at Jack’s Urban Meeting Place
Calling all ghouls, ghosts, goblins, witches & wizards ready to dance till you drop! Celebrate Halloween with JUMP and Kaleidisco at the second annual FRIGHT NIGHT SILENT DISCO! Come dressed to slay in your spookiest looks and enjoy the haunting sounds of local DJs all evening long!
8pm and 10:15pm Horrific Puppet Affair at The Gem Center for the Arts
A cabaret of short horror puppet plays built to make your inner child squirm and scream. A punk-rock continuation of the Victorian art of Toy Theatre, THE HORRIFIC PUPPET AFFAIR tells strange stories through a wide variety of puppets, hand and rod, shadow-play, marionette, and other bizarre summations.
9pm Zombieland Block Party at StrangeLove Club
Join us for the Zombieland Halloween block party, where there’s more to life than survival!
We follow the rules to live til’ dawn!
Rule #1 – Cardio (three dance floors)
Rule #2 – Double Tap (rotating drink specials, including $4 Fireball shots and domestic beers all night!)
Rule #32 – Enjoy the little things (free candy at all locations!)
Amsterdam Lounge, Dirty Little Roddy’s, and StrangeLove Nightclub – three of Boise’s biggest clubs, for one admission! Dress up in anything zombie to enter a $500 costume contest in EACH location!
Wristbands are $20.
9pm The Balcony Annual Halloween Party
Are you brave enough to come float with us down at The Balcony? If so join us October 26th from 9:00 pm – 2:00 am. We will host our annual costume contest with some of the best prizes in town, drink specials, dancing, and more! $10.00 cover and come early because we will hit capacity!
