Caroline Jones is due to visit Boise next week! Caroline is a vibrant singer, songwriter, and radio host. She’s played with big names such as Zac Brown Band, Kenny Chesney, and Jimmy Buffet. Her most recent album “Chasin’ Me” was released in October 2019. This Is Boise got the chance to interview Caroline the tour, her music, and why she’s excited about to visit Boise.
What is most exciting about touring?
Touring is a dream come true for me. The opportunity to perform in front of audiences is SO special, it’s what I feel I was born to do. So to be able to perform consistently, hone the craft of music on stage, and ideally inspire people along the way is a huge blessing.
Who has inspired you as an artist?
So many creative heroes! Jewel, Willie Nelson, Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris, Keith Urban, Joni Mitchell, and Queen are just a few big influences. More recently, Jacob Collier, Tori Kelly, The 1975, etc. I really admire artists who have the courage to follow their own unique sound and heartbeat.
Where is your favorite venue you’ve played at?
I’ve had the opportunity to play some iconic venues so far on tour with Zac Brown Band, Jimmy Buffett & Kenny Chesney. Citi Field and Hollywood Bowl certainly stand out! Also Wrigley Field in Chicago. Alternatively, there is something very special and acoustically pleasing about playing in theaters for a more intimate and sonically beautiful experience.
What are you looking forward to in Boise?
I’ve never been to Boise! I’ve heard it’s beautiful country, so I can’t wait to explore it. I love hiking so hopefully, I’ll get to venture out a bit if it’s not too cold and snowy!!
What’s your favorite song to perform?
Right now it’s a new song I wrote called “You Have the Most Beautiful…” because we recently worked it up and perform it for the first time. I always get inspired by writing and recording my next project!
