StrangeLove, Downtown Boise’s Newest Nightclub Opens

by Aaron McFarland

Downtown Boise’s newest nightclub opened in August. With it, a higher sense of art and luxury entered the Boise nightlife scene.

After 10 months of renovations, Strange Love has tastefully established a fresh, new feel in an iconic downtown Boise location. No longer China Blue, Strange Love has a strict dress code, zero tolerance for misconduct, and a classy atmosphere. Boasting fiery glass towers, disco ball columns, velvet couches, and abstracts of modern feminism, Strange Love has truly set itself apart from other Boise nightclub experiences. The club’s aesthetic plays with textures and lighting and uses themes of warm and cool to create a dance between bold and subtle at every turn. Strange Love focuses on art and the eclectic to create an experience for the senses.

Dotted with shot stations and bottle service booths, the club also offers balcony views of the dancefloor, three public bars, remodeled women’s restroom, and “The Electro” membership room upstairs. The updated women’s restroom now includes floor to ceiling mirrors, a fourth private bar, vanity mirrors, makeup stations, with picturesque lighting for the perfect selfie.

Strange Love is open 9pm-2am Friday and Saturday and can be reserved for special events. Happy hour is from 9-11 on both days.
