It’s Father’s Day weekend! What are you going to do? Here are our top picks on how to spend Father’s Day in Boise! 

For the Father with Young Kids: 

In need of some family-friendly activities? Below are some fun ideas to do with your little ones this Father’s Day.

Discovery Center of Idaho: 

Dive into science and explore hands-on experiences through the Discovery Center of Idaho located right next to downtown Boise. With over 150 unique exhibits to interact with, you and the family will have endless things to do! Their Sunday hours are 12-4:30pm.

Members & Under 2:  Free
Adults 18+: $18
Seniors: $17
Military Personnel: $1 Off

Children’s Museum of Idaho:

We know that you love your kids to the moon and back, so spend this Father’s Day at the moon exhibit at the Children’s Museum of Idaho. There will be an educational storytime from 3-3:30pm introducing the history or facts behind the moon. Stimulate your child’s urge to learn with hands-on exhibits and inspire them to use their imagination and explore at the Children’s Museum of Idaho. They are open from 1-5pm on Sunday. 

Pricing:
Guests ages 2 to adult: $9
Under 2: Free 

For the Father with Teens:

Get your teens up and active this weekend to celebrate Father’s Day! Spend the day challenging dad to fun arcade games and outdoor activities such as mini golf, bumper cars, and laser tag.

Wahooz/Roaring Springs:

Are the kids telling you that they are too old for Chuck E. Cheese’s? Well Wahooz, motto isn’t Family Fun Zone for nothing! Challenge dad to a friendly game of laser tag and see his inner kid again. After a couple of rounds of mini golf, cool off next door at Roaring Springs!

Dave and Busters:

Everyone’s a winner at Dave and Busters! Eat some wings while watching your favorite sports while the kids are playing their favorite arcade games!

Spend the weekend outdoors with dad. The river is officially open to float and the weather is heating up! Grab your dad and go on an adventure together.

Floating the Boise River:

Floating season is back! Rent some tubes or a raft and have a fun day with dad as you float down Boise’s greenbelt! If you are a river pro and already have some tubes from the previous seasons, Barber Park is no longer having a “show up and blow up” station, so don’t forget to bring your own pump! Also, don’t forget to bring some extra cash for the shuttle service and parking!

Rent a Boat and Head to Lucky Peak:

Lucky Peak State Park is the perfect place for all of your outdoor activity needs! From swimming to having a picnic, to boating, Lucky Peak has it all! Rental boats and water sports equipment is available at the Spring Shores Marina from Redline Recreation Toys. To reserve, call them at (208) 695-2288.

Hiking Trails: 

Central Ridge Trail, Military Reserve

1.86 miles round trip, and the level is easy, and great views of downtown Boise

Oregon Trail Reserve

Family friendly hike, dog friendly (leash only), historic site

Bogus Basin 

1 mile round trip, kid and dog friendly, great views of wildflowers and Boise
