Record Exchange – Reminisce in Downtown Boise

Record Exchange – Reminisce in Downtown Boise

by Aaron McFarland

The Record Exchange store is a one-stop shop to reminisce on your favorites jams, evoke nostalgia through passed-down goodies, and relax at the in-house espresso bar. Better yet they are Idaho’s largest independent music store!

This sell and trade shop gets a large arrangement of items that are too good to be thrown away. These items include CDs, Vinyl, Vinyl accessories, clothing, accessories, candles, games, and as the shop describes it, “Weird stuff you didn’t know you wanted until you saw it!” For customers, the Record Exchange offers a few opportunities – to sell your items, browse around and enjoy all the items the store offers, and shop for items you may not find anywhere else.

“No matter the genre or format, new or used, we have it — even a modest wall of used cassettes remains among our extensive collections of CDs and vinyl. If we don’t have it, we can probably get it.”

The Record Exchange could best be described as an experience. The store is divided into two halves – one half for music and one half to enjoy coffee and browse an eclectic array of trinkets and Idaho-themed goodies. The perfect setup for customers to come and stay awhile. This Is Boise loves that The Record Exchange gives items a chance to be loved by someone new! Before entering the store be sure to wear a mask and sanitize your hands. The store is offering phone orders for curbside pick up, delivery to local addresses, and shipping worldwide.  Visit this beloved shop at 1105 West Idaho Street or shop online at shop.therecordexchange.com.
